Last week my housemates, friends and I had a 3 days 2 nights Sandakan trip as our vacation in the 4th semester break. There are 8 people including one of the girls' mother. Even though I've been there numerous time but this is my first time traveling with friends.
We visited to few places and of course Sepilok. It was almost 10 years ago since my last visit there with uncle Martin. The orang utan is getting lesser as others said. But anyhow we visited there. Next, the crocodile farm, but we did not enter as the entrance fee is quite high and few of them watch the crocodile farm before in Lok Kawi. The first day after we reached, the well-known "cheap" seafood was our dinner, however, it was not as cheap as people always mentioned, maybe is because we are not local. After that, we had ice-cream as our dessert.
On the next day, we had 皮蛋水饺 as breakfast in Sandakan. It is the most famous there. We visited Agnes Keith House too. Surprisingly I met with my cousin there. The world is too small. Haha. The street in the town is tooooo crowded. The people all like walking on their grandpa's roads. It's annoying. Therefore we have to survey the routes at the night since there were lesser vehicles. We had our supper in a something like mamak stalls street which we found on the road side.
We visited few church and temple before going to the airport. For the last night, they played cards in our room as there were no places to go anymore. One thing they kept complaining and wondering is the shops in Sandakan close very early, so we have to take our dinner earlier. Maybe they do not used to it but for me, this is Sabah life. Hehe. I think after the trip, they would never say KK is small anymore. Haha.
Thanks for the 2 drivers, James and my dear for the 2 days driving in a little city. ^^ Anyhow, this is the first trip of me and darling. I enjoyed it. I am looking for more trips to be coming. Hopefully the trip will heat up us since we have been cool for quite a little time recently. Amen.
